Thanks London Celtic Punks!

Our friends over at London Celtic punks were kind enough to give our shiny new EP a review. Head on over to London Celtic Punks to check it out.

"...an atmospheric start that slips gently into the EP’s lead single ‘I Must Sail Away’. Accompanied by an outstanding stop motion animation video the song is a piece of pure Celtic-Punk joy with the refrain “if heaven is a place it’s a ocean” leaving you with no doubt where they are from. The song leads with some excellent accordion before the rest of the gang join in. ‘Life Of The Party’ reminds me of Hold Fast with tongue placed firmly in cheek and a catchy hard nosed Celtic-rocker. It’s all acoustic but with the sound turned up loud. I’ve seen many a wee Punk rocker get his cobwebs blown away by bands like Black Matilda assuming the sight of acoustic guitars and mandolins means finger in the ear music! ‘Batten Down The Hatches’ is a perfect example, purely acoustic except for a small guitar solo in the middle. There are only five songs here but plenty of promise too." read more

What? We have our own beer!

It was a pleasure to have Firkenstein Brewing help create a beer for our album release. The experience of making your very own beer is unreal. We all showed up one early Saturday morning and Devin delighted us with one of his newest creations. Soon after, he put us to work sanitizaing all of the equipment that we were about to start using. I suppose it's the least we could do! And it certianly paid off! Thanks Devin & Firkenstein Brewing!!!

It's Ed the Sock

Can't believe Ed the Sock is back after 15 years with a new series, New Music Nation! It's been so long since we've seen that guy. And I can't believe we were lucky enough to have our video 'I must sail away' premier on his show at the 14:35 min mark. That's certianly one to check off the bucket list!

Our first music video!!

Here we are...our first of (hopefully) many music videos. This little stop motion video created by our accordion player using seaglass and shells found on Masons Beach, Nova Scotia. Made enirely of things found on the beach, I hear we are to stay tuned for a possible part 2 in the coming months?
